Our editorial process
How Tech2Buy researches, writes and updates every guide, and what we don’t do.
Tech2Buy exists to help you spend less time and money on the wrong tech. Here is exactly how our guides are made, so you can decide how much to trust them.
What our guides are
Our buying guides, best-picks lists and comparisons are research-based. We do not run a testing lab and we don’t claim to have personally tested every product we list. Instead, we bring together the evidence that already exists and make it easy to act on.
How we research
- Manufacturer specifications. We start from real, currently available products and check the official spec sheets.
- Owner reports. We look at long-term feedback from people who actually own the product: reliability, battery life over time, common faults.
- Reviewer consensus. We compare what trusted independent reviewers found, and look for agreement rather than a single opinion.
- Value. We weigh features against price, with extra attention to budget buyers and students.
How we write
We use AI tools to help with research and first drafts. Every article is then reviewed and edited by Sajid Ali before it is published: facts are checked, weak picks are removed and the advice is made specific. Each guide says who a product suits and who should skip it.
How we make money
Some links are affiliate links, mostly to Amazon. If you buy through them we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. We don’t accept payment for placements, and a commission never decides what we recommend. Read the full affiliate disclosure.
Keeping guides up to date
Tech changes quickly. We revisit popular guides, replace discontinued products and show a “Last updated” date on every article. Prices change constantly, so always check the current price before you buy.
